![]() ![]() Solution was to go to System > Apps and Features" and chose the “Change” option on the Razer Synapse app. Note: I did enable Chroma for Overwatch in “Chroma Apps” and did test it, same issue on or off! If you do, the game won’t launch and just close after one second. You can’t disable the services in “msconfig”. I did some experimenting and found that the background services related to “Razer Chroma SDK” cause all the issues you can find out there. I’ve upgraded from my Logitech G930 + Razer Naga Hex to my Razer nari and Razer Naga Trinity a while back and recently issues have started happening that made me believe that either my CPU needs and upgrade or i need to do a wipe and reinstall windows. If you own a Razer product, you probably have the driver installed, which is Razer Synapse. Synapse started, updated itself, and now it's running without any issues.Īs I said, I hope this might help people who encounter the same issue.I’ve seen it a lot and the support seem to be aware of the Razer Synapse issue. I restarted the PC into the Normal Mode. After that, Synapse still wouldn't start because it doesn't run in the Safe Mode but that's okay. Now the installation completed without any issues. I noticed that only the Game Manager was running. Unfortunately, none of the suggested fixes helped.Īfter numerous attempts at reinstalling Synapse, I went to the Services. The user, u/joe5yellow, describes the exact same problem I had, and they list all the things that the Razer support people told them to do. Then I found this archived thread here on Reddit from 2019. Synapse didn't open and every attempt at installation failed. installing Synapse 2 to see if it would help (I was desperate at that point).using System restore on Windows to go back before the failed update.performing a clean installation as described in this article. ![]() downloading the installer and running it.For some reason, the update failed with "error 142 / unknown error", and after that, Synapse stopped working and nothing helped. ![]() The Synapse tray icon had an update symbol over it so I opened it and started the update. I'm making this thread because I just spent 3 hours fixing my Synapse 3 problem (see title), and I think this information might help someone in the future.
